Plane Pull Challenge a Success!

Thank you to all the sponsors, teams & volunteers who made our inaugural Plane Pull Challenge hosted by Kelowna Flightcraft a huge success!
Over 300 people were in attendance on Friday, April 23rd to witness the 17 teams pull the Convair-Stretch plane 20 feet for the chance to win amazing prizes & bragging rights.
The Winners are:
Winning Team: Gorman Bros. Lumber at 9.26 seconds. Gorman Bros will keep the coveted trophy at their location for the year & each participant received a one night accommodation for 2 at Prestige Hotels & Resorts.
2nd place - Northern Air Support, Okanagan Mountain Helicopter, Valhalla Helicopter. Each participant received a $75 Costco gift card courtesy of RBC.
3rd place - Waterplay Manufacturing. This team one a box for a night to cheer on the Rockets in the Prospera Credit Union box for the 2010/2011 season.
Team Spirit Award - RBC. This team won a VIP wine tasting at Quail's Gate Winery
Exuberant Team Award - Healthy Stealths (IHA). This team won a tour & appies & wine at CHBC news.
Enthusiastic Warm Up - MacKay LLP Chartered Accountants & CHBC. Thank you to Barb & Ducan - new owners of JJ's on Pandosy & Lawrence for the gifts of Rogers Chocolates for this team
Flightless Flyers - Kelowna Community Resources. This team won gift certificates to East Side Mario's.
Team Most Likely to Improve Next Year - Farris Vaughan Wills & Murphy. Another gift from Rogers Chocolates.
Most Dramatic Entrance - Northern Mountain Air, Okanagan Mountain Helipcopter, Valhalla Helicopter. (this team arrived via helipcopter - it was amazing!)
