Building Community

The United Way impact goes beyond fundraising. We bring people together to contribute time, talent and resources, creating better outcomes than if every agency or person had to go it alone.

United Way believes that everyone has something to contribute and that everyone belongs. Our Community Impact Programs include:

• Who We Fund – Our Community Partner agencies
• Community Priorities – Focusing on children, youth and families, vulnerable adults and seniors
• Days of Caring – Matching teams of volunteers to community service projects
• Success By 6 – Ensuring that all children ages 6 and under have access to resources that support healthy growth and development.
• GenNext – Bringing together young professionals to “fill the gap” in their own lives and in their communities.
• Youth Engagement – Providing funding to youth who want to create positive changes in their communities.
• Seeing is Believing Community Bus Tour – Allowing campaign supporters a chance to meet funded agencies and see the impact first-hand.
• Transportation Program – A partnership with the Regional Transit System that provides bus tickets to agencies serving clients in crisis.
