100% of your donations stay local going to non-profit agencies, programs and services that either can’t get the funding elsewhere or don’t necessarily have the in-house resources to do the fundraising. With 1 in 3 people in our region receiving services from a United Way-funded agency, your dollars could be helping your neighbours, friends, or co-workers in their time of need.
Not only do your dollars stay in our region, but decisions regarding allocation of these donations are also made by people who live here (see Funding). Long-standing community partners and knowledgeable United Way staff work together to set community impact goals that are specific to our region. Who better to make investments in our community than those who live in it?
