Workplace Campaign Spotlight- CIBC

In 2016, CIBC raised $23,278 for their United Way CSO workplace campaign! CIBC’s outstanding philanthropic efforts earned them a place among the United Way CSO Top 10 Workplace Campaigns!! For over 15 years, CIBC has coordinated successful UWCSO Workplace Campaigns through their national office.  We are proud to partner with CIBC in their commitment to helping their community.

CIBC’s mission is to make a real difference in the communities where they live and do business. Through their UWSCO Workplace Campaign and sponsorships, they are doing just that. Through CIBC’s corporate and sponsorship support, United Way CSO is able to target  investments where they are needed most in the areas of kids, poverty and community in our region. Last year, CIBC’s campaign helped support 51 agencies across their regions.

In addition to their generous monetary contributions, CIBC also donated employees’ time for a Pushor Mitchell United Way Day of Caring. A Day of Caring connects local workplaces with local NPOs who need extra help around their facilities. During a Pushor Mitchell United Way Day of Caring you may find volunteers doing yard work, painting or assisting in the garden. In 2016, 17 CIBC volunteers helped our local Heart & Stroke Foundation by painting several offices for them during a Day of Caring. CIBC’s hard work allowed Heart & Stroke Foundation employees to focus on their helping roles, and also saved the agency the cost of painting.

United CSO would like to thank community heroes, CIBC for supporting communities in their region through United Way. CIBC’s workplace campaign, donations, volunteer time and sponsorship help ensure that kids, youth, families and seniors in our community receive the support they need.
