Workshop presents key strategies to deal with Penticton’s homeless

December 14, 2016 (Penticton) – A United Way sponsored workshop in Penticton on December 12 focused on sharing helpful strategies for creating supportive rental housing. Guest speakers from ASK Wellness Kamloops, Kelson Group and South Okanagan Brain Injury Society spoke from experience about how to create innovative partnerships between the private sector and community agencies. The 100 Homes Penticton committee is working with community partners to house and support 100 people over the next 2 years. By the end of December, the campaign will have connected more than 40 people with housing. Monday’s Lunch and Learn session provided insights on other housing intervention models we can collectively strive to build in 2017.
